Why Gulf Breeze?

  • Posted on

This is the first question we get when we tell people we bought a house in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Well, to be fair, the actual first question is "where's that?" Then we say next door to Pensacola Beach and everybody is on the same page. Then comes the "why?".

The answer is simple. The Emerald Coast has the most beautiful beaches in the world. Controversial statement, I know, but that's why we put a flag down in Gulf Breeze. Pensacola Beach is 10 minutes from our front door and offers beautiful beaches & loads of activities for families, couples, and groups of friends. Pristine white sand? ✅ Captivating emerald/turquoise waves?  ✅ Wanna see dolphins, sea turtles, crabs, pelicans, sea rays, and more? ✅ You want the touristy putt-putt course and ice cream joint? ✅ You want a romantic steak and lobster dinner overlooking pristine waters? ✅ Kids want to go to a ropes course? ✅ Your group want a upscale bar (or a dive bar!) for happy hour apps and drinks? ✅ Charter a fishing boat to hook into some Mahi Mahi?✅

You get the picture.

The cool thing about Pensacola Beach (and Gulf Islands National Seashore National Park) is that even during high season, it is still completely manageable and not over-crowded like some of the other popular destinations along The Emerald Coast. We have nothing against those places at all, we just like things slightly more toned down. However, if the Destin vibe is what you are looking for, we're just a short drive (45 mins or so) down Highway 98 and day-trips are completely doable! We do them ourselves every now and then!

However, all of the beaches from Fort Pickens to Navarre Beach are pretty much perfect in our eyes and we hope you can enjoy them just as much as we do.
